Whats this mean?
When I go into my inventory for my heros in EOTN and look at the armor it says something like "22 - 80 depending on level". What does that mean?

But all the heros in EOTN start at lvl 20, so its sort of pointless.

Personally, Ii never understood why it didn't just give the actual number value for the armor as it was at the time you actually checked... |

Due to the EotN heroes being level 20, it's pointless. But for the heroes in NF it means:
All Ranger, Assassin, and Dervish hero's AL is calculated as "(lvl*3)+10". Warrior and Paragon are calculated as "(lvl*3)+20". All caster classes are calculated as "lvl*3". In addition to this, ranger heroes get a standard +30 armor against elemental damage, and warrior get an additional +20 against physical. |
